Betty Page in miniature

I do not suffer from body image dysfunction. I am modest. Even as a young girl, I wanted my bathing suit to cover my rump and tummy. I am small and luckily, weight has never been an issue. Now, toning? Well, we're not talking about that, are we?
So when I shop for a bathing suit, there is a problem.
The problem is combining cute with modest.
I am not marmy. I think that may be a made up word. To me, "marmy" means matronly. I am not marmy; I am modest. Another thing I am not is I am not a sweet young thing bouncin' on the beach. When I go to the beach, it's to read. It's to look good. I WILL get in the water, but I don't want to get my bathing suit wet! I need to look good.

Of course, cowboy man
would prefer to see me in a redhot bikini and my little angel boy would like to hear "geezy, peasy, your mom sure is pretty!" but not "wow. your mom is one hot tamale!"
Me? I prefer red and white gingham. I kinda liken myself to a Betty Page kinda girl in petite. Of course, petite could also mean "boobless" but we're not talking about that, are we?
It's a matter of balance
this looking good and being modest.
I am hoping that parentbloggers
will help me in my effort. It is only for my sons sake that I ask these things. How can they NOT assist in this matter? It is my childs reputation at stake. That and the fact that I need a new bathing suit.... preferably a red and
white gingham in modest flavor.
