The Giving Essence

I'm the first to admit that before I found dkMommy Spot, I was a rather unaware consumer. I wanted to do the right thing. I wanted to feed my family healthier foods and try and steer away from constant OTC medications and chemicals but with so much conflicting information out there, I was overwhelmed .

After visiting dkMommy Spot frequently, I learned that there are viable alternatives. I realized that to make those changes wouldn't be so difficult after all. I don't need to be a physicist to mix up an onion poultice for congestion AND if the congestion is not severe enough to warrant a visit to the doctor, I can treat my child without cramming pills down his throat. I feel much better about actually caring for my child's overall health than being so short sighted as to put unnecessary chemicals into his body to treat his nasal congestion.

I've also found some very nice recipes over at dkMommy Spot that don't require any more effort than the meals I was accustomed to making. Foods that are packed with nutrients and don't taste like cardboard! She explains everything so clearly and guides you through the intent and benefit of the ingredients so you not only have a healthy recipe but you know why it's healthy. I think it's similar to giving a man a fish dinner or teaching him how to fish; which is a more valuable thing to do?

With all the changes we've been making to live healthier , there are still some things that are just beyond the typical busy working persons realm. One of those things I just don't have time for is growing and drying my own herbs or gathering and mixing up essential sprays for fragrances.

I also am still overwhelmed if I go to a health food store (do I even go there for this?) for essential oils. I know I can use those essential oils for skin care products and many are therapeutic also . I can use them as a muscle relaxant, aromatherapy, cooking and I can even make my own fragrances with them. The Giving Essence makes it easy for me to do all those things.

I was fortunate enough to be able to try the "Breathe Deep" Essential Spray. My son is almost constantly battling colds and congestion. As we know, nighttime is just the worst when we're congested and my child suffers so badly that it makes me suffer!
For him to be in a room of Eucalyptus , Rosemary, Lavender and Peppermint Essential oils would surely benefit him.

From the time I took the spray out of the box, I was impressed. I wasn't congested at all but the vapors just seemed so soothing... not that medicinal smell but a natural, calming smell. I was breathing more freely after just three short sprays in my room and I wasn't even congested!

Other Essential Sprays include Cinnamon Tea (okay, that's next on my list!), Fresh Citrus, Bayberry Spice or Home for the Holidays. All of the Essential Sprays, Oils, Peppermint Stick and Dried Herbs are very reasonably priced and all come packaged worthy of gift giving. The lip balms (I see Spearmint....) even come in a pretty little drawstring bag.
